I am so proud of Ryan. The pergola is done. It looks amazing! I am glad I took pictures to document the process because people may not believe it was a DIY project. Believe it. Ryan's a professional.

I didn't realize until today that I had your blog on my computer. I was looking up something else when I noticed a picture that looked like something was being constructed. I thought it might be an ad from Lowe's since I have bought several things there. I had no idea Ryan was such a good carpenter. I especially love the picture frame but everything he built was very nice. You have a beautiful house. What a gorgeous kitchen! I will mail two "Gust Buster" umbrellas next week. I've have to find a box to fit them. Actually I had bought them for you as gifts last Christmas but David said you couldn't receive packages which is why I sent the Amazon gift card. The umbrellas are supposed to withstand winds up to 55 miles per hour. I got so tired of having umbrella blow inside out. I thought other people might like an umbrella that withstood wind also. I'll notify you when they actually get in the mail. They are your birthday gifts for this past year.I'm glad you are back in the good old USA. Love, Grandma Swenson
