Marina Bay Sands

A major visitor destination, and impressive architectural structure, Marina Bay Sands was a must on our list.  We chose an evening to venture out, grab dinner, take a stroll, and finish with a drink at the top.

Hotel and Casino (3 towers) Sands SkyPark (structure on top)

Yet another mall, building directly in front.

SkyPark with ArtScience Museum (flower structure)

Photo during our walk around the area.

More complete picture of the ArtScience Museum.

Loved this bridge.

Trying to capture another angle.  It was very difficult to get a complete picture.

View from the top of the SkyPark Bar.  You can see the ArtScience Museum in the bottom right corner.

We are dark, but the background is incredible.  Something else incredible about this picture, the photographer.  A young couple was standing next to us, Ryan asked them to take our picture.  Ryan began talking to the guy, and we learned that they were in Singapore for vacation.  Ryan explained we were there for business.  We went through the usual, where are you from, etc.  Our response, "the United States, but living in Russia for work."  His response, "yada, yada, yada....we live in Bali for work, but have to travel out of the country every 2 months to renew our Visas."  Definitely didn't hear where they were originally from, my jaw had hit the ground (no ladylike manners).  Seriously, they live in Bali for work.  Come on Chevron, find oil in Bali (fingers crossed, and a big smile on my face).

View of the port.  Look at the line of white lights, all the lights above the white lights are ships, out in the harbor.  I wish I would have taken a picture from our plane, there were hundreds of ships.  Unfortunately, the harbor in Novorossysk is not as modern as Singapore's.

Another great adventure in Singapore.  It was very nice to be surrounded by a modern, urban city.  I must admit, the expansive, flashy malls began to get a little overwhelming.  I was in search of a more quiet area, less people, less cars, and no malls.  I decided I would explore the famous orchids of Singapore.  A little piece of beauty and tranquility.

Next stop, Singapore Botanical Gardens and Orchid Garden.
